Finally, we haven’t seen the first standing start of IndyCar series, it was aborted due to the car of Josef Negarden, that was stalled on the grid, so we there was a standard rolling start. First laps of the race haven’t been much spectacular, the most impressive driver has been Scott Dixon, who overtook Tony Kanaan and Ryan Hunter-Reay. In lap 20, Dario Franchitti started to have problems with his tires, so Sebastien Bourdais tried to overtake him and they lost a lot of time fighting, so Power and Dixon joined them, and there was a battle for the lead with 4 drivers, finally Franchitti lost it in front of Sebastien Bourdais, Will Power also overtook the Scottish and he let pass to his mate Dixon, because he was going very slow. After first pit stop, Will Power arrived to Bourdais and passed him. On lap 35, Rahal and Vautier were fighting, Rahal had the outside and didn’t let too much space to Vautier, that fact added to an imprecision of Vautier resulted on a contact and the first full course yellow of the race.

On the restart, Will Power kept the lead and he did it for the whole stint until the second and last stop. Dixon was driving nicely and he overtook Bourdais for the second. Takuma Sato was out of the race due to mechanical issue, and there was a nice battle for the eight position with Helio Castroneves, James Hinchcliffe, Mike Conway… After last pit stop, Dixon was the new leader, in front of Sebastien Bourdais, and there was a multiple accident caused by Justin Wilson, Ryan Briscoe and Charlie Kimball had to retire after the collision.

On the restart, Scott Dixon was sleeping and Bourdais took the lead again, but he was under a lot of pressure by Scott Dixon, who finally retook the lead, and his mate, Franchitti, also tried to overtake Bourdais for a 1-2 of Chip Ganassi, but there was a new full course yellow because of Alex Talgiani, who spun when he was fighting the tenth position with EJ Viso. There were only 4 laps to go, but we had a last lap of green (and white) flag, Will Power tried to overtake Dario Franchitti but the australian touched the wall and went straight to tire barrier. Scott Dixon won again, in front if Sebastien Bourdais and Dario Franchitti.
