Sam Bird has won a great victory which has controlled since the beginning of it, and showing great driving skills and great experience in the moments that he had to prove it.
First the race was expected to be a big fight between Bird, Leimer and Calado the three fastest drivers during practice. Track was little damp but the race was declared dry. Sam Bird gets the victory while Leimer would lost a position in the start, now in third place, Calado was very motivated and attacked from the first corner. Meanwhile Rossi followed them and end up getting a podium (well deserved) at the end of the race. Ericsson meanwhile slowly and quietly put himself in second place with a good strategy would allow him to be on the podium.
On lap No. 3 De Jong crash in Eau Rouge after a light touch on his back wheel in the first vertex of the curve trying to defend his position in a group of 4 riders. Sam Bird now he is totally fighting for the championship after this victory and with the good work of Russian team Time is one of the favorites for the championship. Four drivers will compete for the championship with only 14 points of difference: Coletti, Nasr, Leimer and Bird.
Tomorrow again will be another championship race at 10.35 am, where there are greater chances of rain expected. Reverse grid will make the race exciting with all favorite drivers recover positions. Calado will start from pole. Strategies will be key due to weather conditions.
