SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS | Sun was this afternoon at circuit of Spa and that was helpful for Hitech GP who finally got the results that they were looking for. George Russell set the pole position ahead of Joel Eriksson and Nikita Mazepin.

Perfect afternoon for George Russell (Hitech GP) who today scored more pole positions than his whole career in FIA Formula 3 European championship. The Briton set the pole position for both races after a poor qualifying strategy by Prema.

The Prema Powerteam drivers showed a poor team power today with a bad communication between Stroll and Cassidy who made a really bad qualifying. The championship leader will start eleventh and ninth as Cassidy 13th and 10th.

For the Race 1, Russell will start from pole position ahead of Joel Eriksson (Motopark), Nikita Mazepin (Hitech GP) and Mikkel Jensen (kfteile24 Mücke Motorsport). Behind them finished Ben Barnicoat (Hitech GP) who helped Mazepin during the quali.

Completing the top10 are Van Amersfoort Racing drivers, Callum Ilott and Anthoine Hubert, ahead of Maxi Günther (Prema Powerteam), David Beckmann (kfteile24 Mücke Motorsport) and Guanyu Zhou (Motopark).

The 2nd fastest lap allowed the pole position for race 3 to Russell again. Eriksson and Barnicoat followed the Hitech driver ahead of Ilott, Hubert, Mazepin, Beckmann, Günther, Cassidy.
