It’s true that all the fans wishes t osee Valentino Rossi own team on the MotoGP championship. The actual situation between Yamaha and Tech3 team seemed to be an oportunity that the italian couldn’t refuse. This days in Qatar, ‘the doctor’ keep clear that his priority are his duties as rider and, until 2020 there won’t be an own team.

The 9 times world champion said that “it was a nice idea, but we can’t do it”, because being Movistar Yamaha rider and take the leadership of a new team, will all that this means, it’s really complicated. So, Rossi will focus by now, and will enjoy, last years os his career as a rider and, who knows, if could be able to reach another record to become definetely the best of the history in the championship.

“For the next two years I won’t have a team in MotoGP with Yamaha, also because most likely I will still be racing”, said the italian rider. It could be something to consider in future, when I stop racing, but not in 2019 or 2020. The situation is quite clear, although I didn’t expect [Tech 3 boss Herve] Poncharal would leave Yamaha.”
