Valentino Rossi takes an important and needed victory in Assen. Is the third win for Rossi this season after beat Márquez in a wheel-to-wheel battle. Lorenzo finished in the last spot of the podium.


“Vale” kept the lead of the race in the start, Marquez overtook Aleix Espargaró for second as Jorge Lorenzo did the same for third.

Then, the race was divided in blocks. The battle for the first place between Rossi and Marquez –who had an amazing gap, the  Lorenzo and Iannone running peacefully on third and fourth, respectively. Behind them, the Espargaro’s, Crutchlow, Dovizioso, Smith and Pedrosa fight for 5th during the whole race.

At the final 7 laps, the intense battle for the Dutch GP watched an unexpected manoeuvre from the Catalan rider who overtook The Doctor. But the Italian re-overtook the Honda rider and open some gap with the 2-time-world champion.

This wasn’t enough for Rossi who saw Marquez trying to advance him at last chicane, where they contact and finally, The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP pilot took his third win of the season that makes him more leader in the championship with 10 points ahead of Lorenzo.

In Moto2, the race was reduced 8 laps due to a red flag crash that suffers Luis Salom. Folger led the early laps but he hasn’t managed to keep the pace over rabat and Zarco who fights for the victory that, again, was for the Frenchman.

In Moto3, Miguel Oliveira stopped the superiority of Danny Kent taking his second win of the season for Ajo Motorsport. Kent was third behind the youngest driver in the field, Fabio Quartararo who took his second podium in Moto3.

Next place for MotoGP world championship is the German GP in the old but amazing, Sachenring circuit.
