Felix Rosenqvist of Belardi Auto Racing claimed the pole position for Saturday’s Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires race at the streets of Toronto.

Rosenqvist set the quickest lap at one minute, 6.0106 seconds, claiming the pole position by 0.4659 to Felix Serralles of Carlin.

Rosenqvist and Serralles also set up the provisional front row of the Sunday race as their second-quickest laps were the quickest of the field; however also the quickest race laps will be taken into account when setting up Sunday’s grid.

Santiago Urrutia had set the quickest lap of the qualifying before crashing with four minutes remaining. The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver lost his best lap time because of bringing out the red flag, dropping him down to third place, 0.6099 seconds behind Rosenqvist. Alongside Urrutia will start the polesitter Rosenqvist’s Belardi teammate Zach Veach.

The Indy Lights points leader Ed Jones will start the race in fifth place. Jones’s closest rival Dean Stoneman was only 11th in the qualifying.
