Nico Rosberg set the fastest time in the third free practice session today at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. Raikkonen and Grosjean followed him as Hamilton closed the table after a session interrupted twice.

Bad weekend for Hamilton. Still being used to make a pole in any situation, this time he can lose it again. After a rather bumpy Friday, the British have made more mistakes causing red flags and failing to set a good time, closing the table behind Merhi.

Neither isAlonso ina lucky weekend. Today was the last man out of box because of problems with his car. McLaren has been changing the Honda engine of their car and until late, they failed to mark out an installation lap.

But Alonso was not the only nightmare in the box for McLaren. Button, who has completed more laps than the Spaniard, stopped his car at the end of session on the back straight, causing a red flag closing the session. The McLaren team has announced that Button will miss the qualifying session due to a fault in the ERS.

The other red flag was brought out by Felipe Nasr earlier. The Brazilian had left the pits with cold tyres and making maneuvers heating in the back straight has lost control of his car stamping it against the wall, due to the low downforce that is installed on the Canadian circuit. Sauber has announced that the Brazilian is well and the team is working around the clock to get the car ready in three hours.

Regarding the mid of the table, six different teams occupy the top6, starting with the Mercedes of Rosberg. Raikkonen, Grosjean, Bottas, Perez and Kvyat follows him in eighth position. The first Toro Rosso is Sainz in the ninth.

If changes are predicted for Canada, the supremacy of Mercedes is ever getting bigger and we can not see a Ferrari ready to overcome the silver arrows, while McLaren, like Red Bull, finds no point of greatest improvement.
