Vasily Romanov has taken his first ever pole position in Formula Renault 2.0 Alps. The Russian beat his compatriot Matevos Isaakyan who finished ahead of his teammate, Thiago Vivacqua.


The qualifying session that was celebrated in Monza to set the starting grid for the Race 1 was dominated by the Russians.

Matevos Isaakyan was ho dominated the whole session, but at the final minutes, the driver of Cram Motorsport, Vasily Romanov improved the lap time of the SMP young driver to achieve his first pole position.

Third position is for Thiago Vivacqua who confirmed the good pace from JD Motorsport. Matteo Ferrer finished fourth after a good classification. Fifth is the wild card, Ferdinand Habsburg.

The first Koiranen GP is on sixth place. Jack Aitken, championship point’s leader, badly pay his late run.

Behind the British boy are: Riener, Allen, Pronenko, Bulatov, Hughes, Hamprecht, Baptista, Cazzaniga, Fischer, Daruvala.
