Today’s qualifying session at Nurburgring, sixth race in the championship, has been very intense, with a great movement of positions in the last minute. Richelmi has made a great flying lap, which has given him the pole position, followed by his teammate Ericsson.
Today has been one of the tightest qualifying sessions of the whole year, only 1.8 seconds separated the first and the last place.
Championship leader Colletti had a bad day: he finished the day out of the top ten. Bird, who is third in the championship, has made good laps and has been steady, but in the last five minutes, he has gone from fourth to occupy the ninth position.
Nasr has done good laps too but he had to settle for fifth.
The final ranking is:
Richelmi first, who takes the four points, followed by Ericsson and Frijns. Evans fourth, and fifth Nasr.
