Kimi Raikkonen was the fastest on the last day of the first Formula 1 testings that have been held in Jerez de la Frontera. Hamilton, in second place, has been who has done more laps.


Best time to Kimi Räikkönen, who confirmed the pace and level that has the SF15-T which showed Sebastian Vettel. The Finnish quickly moved into first place in the morning and led the day, in addition to achieve the fastest lap of the whole test. A total of 75 solid laps have been done by the Finnish.

World champion Lewis Hamilton finished in second place with a total of 92 laps and 1 second and 3/10 behind Ferrari. The Mercedes-Benz has caused the second red flag of the day after suffering a spin at the final chicane. Nevertheless it has been who’s done laps the most in the day.

The Renault engine in this test in Jerez has seen the Red Bull team being the second best of the Renault Team; Max Verstappen was second in doing more laps today besides leading much of the morning session. The Dutchman has done many laps in the morning in order to adapt to the wet conditions.

Felipe Massa has done a discreet role, standing in fourth place with a total of 53 laps. Good day for Marcus Ericsson and his 65 laps, showing the potential of the team for this year.

Romain Grosjean has debuted for the first time with the E23 with a total of 53 laps; for the French-Swiss driver it was the first time participating with an engine that is not the Renault in Formula 1, now they use a  Mercedes engine.

Another tough day for Red Bull and McLaren-Honda. At Red Bull, Daniil Kvyat continues with bad luck, suffering problems with the ERS. At McLaren, Button had trouble starting the car, and lack of spare parts left him in last place with little competitive time and 35 laps completed.
