Conway started the race at their own pace. A very crashed race with many accidents, AJ Allmendinger was the first car to hit the wall in first lap, Simona lap 8 Simona hit the wall because of a car failure has made hem lose control understeer into the wall, first retirement of the season for the pilot, career very combative for all pilots and with many problems except Conway that has caught his rhythm and could well turn over half in this circuit very competitive race for all riders looking imposible overtaking places. Tagliani has forced another caution and now is all or nothing the pilots not so concerned about damaging the car as the first race. Many actions side by side at every turn, with much friction and touch attack during the race. Reay on lap 17 with a touch to the wall on the same curve broke Silvestro direction to cut too much the wall. Drivers were pushing the limit. Lap 20 another caution many riders took the opportunity to pit. At this time led Conway, Dixon, Kimball, Wilson, Power, Franchitti, Kanaan, Vautier, Sato and Bourdais. Another relaunched and another problem to the following curves, Takuma Sato went into the barriers. Conway doing his pace relaunched without any problem, is a plus in this race no one can catch him.
Lap 28, many drivers were involved after a mini spin of Power after being touched by Bourdais into turn one has made a pile-up by the peloton. Briscoe, Viso with unlucky this race, Tagliani, Carpenter, Wilson… Saavedra punctured … Hinchliffe changed the nose. Very crazy race on Sunday with many crashes and cautions, drivers were attacking every moment, the race leader has used to make his stop, Dixon has taken time to get ahead thanks to the pit stop. Power very angry with Bourdais had to be stopped by the stewards for not taking bigger and dangerous action. After 30-laps and all this attack  only 10 cars of the 25 have not had a problem this drivers have been the lucky ones to go on the top10. Three cautions only Saturday and today more than 6 in less than half of the race. Drive throught to Bourdais because cause an accident, meanwhile Kanaan and Vautier was leading the race and overtook him on the next lap, and Conway in 3 laps managed to move from the eighth position relaunched at first in a great driver skills demonstration.

First laps in first place to Vautier in Indycar until his pit stop. Dixon and Conway have decided to go slower during some laps to open the pit stop windows, Kimball advanced the pilot approached by Pagenaud who takes the lead. It was supposed the real positions for first place was Conway vs Dixon with 22 laps left but once that Conway has stopped in the pits and on the compensatory Kimball, the latter was ahead, Conway has managed to overtake in a risky maneuver Vautier Kimball and at the same time, it has been committed over the weekend has come around to ask for mouth. Conway has been too long in traffic that has made Pagenaud continue as race leader and Jakes to be in 2nd place.

When real positions appeared as follows: Jakes, Pagenaud, +6 seconds Franchitti and Conway at 13 laps to go. Conway tried to catch both 2 drivers with his good weekend rhytm. Jakes was first and he enters in pits. Head race was in 6 seconds. Finally it could not be the career ends and Jakes and  Pagenaud were ahead from Conway because of better management at the last pit stop. This strategy has given them the victory and second place ahead of the fastest driver of the weekend. Jakes has defended very well for Conway attacks. Only 13 drivers have been on the same lap very hard race for drivers. The next race in a week in the Oval Texas. Dixon Franchitti and Andretti completed top6
