F1 has signed a new deal with Puma as the company becomes exclusive retail partner of the sport to sell its branded products at grand prix events.
In another fresh agreement, F1 has partnered with German design company Puma as its merchandise retail partner from 2019 season with 17 of the 21 grand prix to feature superstores for fans to buy the official items.
With the new deal, Puma has the ‘rights to design, produce and sell F1-branded products’ in their stores trackside at grand prix events, which will also have merchandise of all the 10 teams and other accessories.
The German-based global company already has a tie-up with Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and Rich Energy Haas for selling its official merchandise and now has F1 on the whole under its motorsport portfolio.
F1’s Managing Director Commercial Operations, Sean Bratches said: “We are always looking to enhance fans race day experience and to have such an experienced and creative partner such as PUMA on board to bring the latest items to our fans is something we are really excited about.”
Puma’s CEO, Bjorn Gulden added: “PUMA has a long and proud history in motorsport, and we are very happy to take this a step further today. Our agreement with Formula 1 will allow us to connect with the fans directly at the races by offering them the best motorsport merchandise experience possible.”
