Jack Doohan, son of the mythical Mick Doohan, will join the Prema team to make his debut in single-seaters. The Asutralian will compete in five rounds between the Italian F4 championship and the German ADAC F4. Thus, Prema gives him the opportunity to take his first steps in the world of single-seaters.

Jack comes to participate and impress in go-kart racing both nationally in Australia and internationally. He won the Australian karting championships in the KA category in 2015 and KA 2 in 2016. He was third in the European CIK-FIA Championship where he won the Swedish race.

Jack spoke about his signing for the Italian team: “I really want to be part of the Prema team as a Red Bull Junior driver in some rounds of the ADAC and Italian F4 championships. Driving for such a respected and successful team like Prema in 2018 is something I could have dreamed about at the beginning of 2017 when I came to Europe to compete in karts. My experience acquired in karts since I was eight years old has given me a solid base, but now is the time to take my racing career to the next level”, said the son of the five-time MotoGP world champion.

Angelo Rosin, director of the Prema team, said: “It will be really interesting to work with Jack, who will take his first steps in single-seater races this year. Coming from a profile so prominent in motorsports, I’m sure he will adapt very quickly to the new environment. The objective for him is to accumulate kilometers and experience to prepare to take one more step in 2019.”
