Thomas Preining has taken the victory in Race 3 of ADAC Formel 4 at Nürburgring, Germany. The Austrian driver won a race with a political finish with Schumacher overtaking Vips at the finish line.

At the start Jannes Fittje (US Racing) lost the lead of the race with Thomas Preining (Lechner Racing) who led until the end of the race despite the pressure of Juri Vips (Prema Powerteam) who easily overtook Fittje.

Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) and Mike David Ortmann (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) made a great start, as well as championship leader, Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing). The three top drivers were battling for fifth position and was Schumacher who took the place.

The son of Michael Schumacher then continued his comeback and after many attempts, overtook the leader of Spanish F4, Richard Verschoor (Motopark) and then Fittje for third position.

But another controversial moment arrived at the end of the race when Mawson received a drive-through penalty because of cross the pit lane entry line. That was helpful for Schumacher who took the second place at the end of the race after political move by Prema Powerteam.

Preining won his second race his season with Schumacher and Vips in the podium. Fittje and Verschoor completes the top 5 ahead of Ortmann, Müller-Crepon, Schramm, Flörsch and Laliberte.

With Schumacher great performance and team help, the German is now 46 points behind Mawson. Ortmann and Schramm continues with title hopes but they are 117 and 139 points behind.
