It starts the last Indycar event of the season in Fontana, California. The last battle will decide who will win the championship of the 2013 season. Scott Dixon and Castroneves will try to do their best this weekend at Fontana´s circuit
The first to score a time in free practice today would be AJ Allmendinger, driver would return to this last race within the structure of Penske. On the other hand it is confirmed that the next season will run Andretti Andretti 2014 sponsored by Dr Pepper.
It has been a practice of an hour and a half with optimal weather conditions where the fastest of the session has been Will Power from the beginning of it. This track will be key strategy and different riding conditions depending on the time of the race. Race to be competed in dusk time.
The first caution came within fifteen minutes of the session contact with the wall in Turn 4 by Pippa Mann caused a caution in the session that would take a long time. This made the big favorites of this weekend: Dixon, Castroneves and Kannan (who competes the Triple Crown with Dixon) will mark not time until half hour of the session
Kannan, Dixon and Castroneves since his first timed runs have already been shown very fast into top5. There have been a couple of cautions at the meeting by Bourdais and Sato. Overall it has been a long day driving by the drivers and teams that have driven about 40 laps per driver. Power was the fastest rider with Penske followed by Kannan, Hinchcliffe, AJ Allmendinger, Castroneves and Dixon
Moreover Viso, officialy suffering from disease problems, has been replaced in the team by Colombian Muñoz. The Colombian driver has made great performances this season in Indycar in Indianapolis and Toronto.
