Will Power has achieved his second pole of the season of IndyCar at Texas Motor Speedway. He will be accompanied in the first row by Josef Newgarden.
Tony Kanaan, as he was first during the morning, has been lucky enough to roll out the first and was also the first to be placed in the first place. But a surprising Josef Newgarden with a speed of 351.2 km/h (218.896 mph) was the first to beat the Ganassi.
With that time, pretty hard to beat, the top 5 session at half-time was composed as follows: with leader Newgarden followed by Kanaan, Pagenaud, Wilson and Hinchcliffe.
But the Indycar family hold its breathe seeing the pole sitter of the the Indy 500, Ed Carpenter very near to the Verizon P1 Award. Finally he could only be third. Instead, Will Power, a genius with an average of 352.28 km/h got the best time until the end of the session, achieving his second Verizon P1 Adward of the year.
