Maverick Vinales kick-started his journey with Aprilia at Misano in a two-day test, with the circuit hosting other MotoGP riders too.

While the headline rider was Vinales abode the Aprilia RS-GP at Misano on Tuesday, the circuit hosted other riders too, who had their own programme. The Spaniard kicked-off his new MotoGP journey with the Italian manufacturer after much trouble at Yamaha.

There was enthusiasm at the Aprilia garage, especially having secured a podium finish in last weekend’s British MotoGP race via Aleix Espargaro. They also greeted Petronas SRT-bound Andrea Dovizioso, who dropped in to say his goodbyes to the team.

Among other MotoGP riders, Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia, Pramac Ducati’s Johann Zarco and Avintia Ducati’s Luca Marini, rode the Superbike version of their respective manufacturer machines, it was the test riders who got the chance to ride the current bikes.

KTM had both Dani Pedrosa and Mika Kallio abode the RC16, while Michello Pirro rode the Ducati Desmosedici GP.
