Dani Pedrosa set the fastest lap of the FP3 and the combined sessions of MotoGP in the Spanish Grand Prix.
The combines times were beaten early in the session. Jorge Lorenzo took the lead, followed by Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Aleix Espargaro was fourth and Stefan Bradl fifth.
There was not so much action in the times with 12 minutes to go, and most of the riders were in pits making changes in their bikes. Bradl jumped to fourth when the riders were pushing to get a quick time that put them in a safe place for Q2.
Rossi set the fouth fastest time with five minutes left on the clock. Pedrosa set the fastest lap of the session and he was one tenth quicker than Lorenzo.
In the end, the direct qualifiers for Q2 were: Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Marquez, Rossi, Edwards, Bradl, Aleix and Pol Espargaro, Dovizioso and Smith.
