Matthew Parry led the free-practice session of GP3 Series ahead of two ART GP drivers: Nirei Fukuzumi and Charles Leclerc.


Let’s first note that Richard Gonda was back in GP3 with Jenzer and that Arjun Maini kept his place instead of Oscar Tunjo.

Jake Hughes was the first driver to head out on track, followed by his teammates from DAMS. Charles Leclerc, who ran in FP1 with Haas F1 Team in the morning, set the early pace in the session with a 1:36.100, almost one second faster than Kevin Jörg. His ART GP teammates, Alexander Albon and Nyck De Vries, went faster than him.

With thirty minutes to go, Jake Dennis was the fastest with a 1:35.175 ahead of Albon and Antonio Fuoco. Dennis who was the first one to dip under the 1:35 laptime.

Halfway through the session, Dennis still lead from Antonio Fuoco and Charles Leclerc. Fuoco was the first to join Dennis under the 1:35 with sixteen minutes to go before Janosz and Hughes went faster.

With seven minutes to go, Matthew Parry dipped under the 1:33 laptime before Nirei Fukuzumi went faster. The Welsh driver took back his fastest time for 0.027s over the Japanese driver.

Matthew Parry ended that session on top ahead of Nirei Fukuzumi and Charles Leclerc. Fuoco, Isaakyan, Albon, Hughes, De Vries, Dennis and Maini completed the top 10. Let’s note than only one second stand between Parry and Giuliano Alesi in P19
