Last Friday practice session for this new beginning 2014 Indycar championship. The fastest riders on the track have been Sato, Rahal, Power, Castroneves, Pagenaud, Briscoe, Hinchcliffe and Dixon completete the top8

Drivers got the first sesion times quite fast and have been improving their times as the track has been cleaned. Sebastian Saavedra caused a red flag for his off track in Turn 2 after fifteen minutes of the session. Helio Castroneves took the lead in the middle of the practice session. It remains last 20 minutes all the drivers changed wheels to face his last stint. At that time Graham Rahal has been first, he is showing very strong driver but Takuma Sato took his first position. The Japanese driver also has great pace today, starting strong championship like last year. In 12 minute session left Newgarden forced a new red flag.

 

Ten minutes left for finishing the sesion few drivers were improving, Will Power and Pagenaud would climb to third and fifth. Castroneves stood fourth, the Brazilian driver is being very consistent in both sessions. Again no less than 16 drivers in a second away. 5 minutes left to the end Newgarden would stop the session, with just 3 minutes to complete were not improved records so the Japanese Takuma Sato was first.
