There still are 81 days to go to the 2014 DTM season kick-off at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. Nonetheless, the motor-sport departments of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz already are working flat-out on the preparations for the anniversary year – the 30th season after the creation of the today most popular touring-car series on our planet. The preparations will be concluded by two four-day ITR tests at Budapest and Hockenheim.

From 31st March to 3rd April, the drivers will have the chance of gathering impressions not only of their new racing cars but also of the Hungaroring, located not far from Budapest. The Hungarian circuit will stage its first DTM race since 1988 on 1st June. Throughout the four days of testing, the on-track work will be executed from 09:00 to 17:00hrs.

Two weeks later, from 14th to 17th April, the teams will put the finishing touches to the Audis RS 5 DTM, BMWs M4 DTM and DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupé at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg that also will stage the season kick-off, some two weeks later. Here, the tests will be contested from 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00hrs.

The DTM enthusiasts also may look forward to the tests at Hockenheim as they will have the chance of witnessing the work of the teams live on all the four days. During the tests, the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg will open its ‘Südtribüne G’ for spectators. The tickets are available for €6 and also will grant access to the Hockenheimring’s ‘Motor-Sport-Museum’. On more than 2,200 square metres, the museum showcases more than 300 exhibits from every motor-racing period.
