That’s official now, young McLaren racer Nyck de Vries will continue with Finnish team Koiranen GP in 2014.
Nyck de Vries strong performance since the beginning of Eurocup official testdays shows that the young Dutch is highly motivated to reach the title this year. And de Vries will be very busy in 2014 as his program also includes the ALPS Formula Renault 2.0 championship.
Nyck de Vries says about the coming season, “It is probably one of my last chance to combine a double program, so I woulf like to optimize this opportunity. Of course my goal is to fight for both championships, however, I think we should not understimate our opponents”.
And Afa Heikkinen to comment, “We are very pleased McLaren and Nyck trustes us for another season. We target the highest step of the podium this year and we are sure that our team will be strong enough to reach it”.
As involved in a double program, Nyck de Vries next appearance will be in Imola, Italy for the first ALPS round on April 4th, 2014.
