Miguel Molina claims pole position for Audi at Lausitzring ahead of Jamie Green and Marco Wittmann for BMW. First Mercedes is Robert Wickens in P4.

With five minutes remaining on the clock, most cars went out again for their last flying lap. Robert Wickens managed to get into the top 3 with a 1:16.792 while most drivers had to deal with traffic problems before Jamie Green went P2, less than one tenth slower than Molina.
