Marcos Siebert (Campos) set the fastest time of the free-practice session of GP3 ahead of Santino Ferrucci and Nirei Fukuzumi.
The early stages of the session were dominated by Giuliano Alesi (Trident), one year after his violent accident on the same track.
Halfway through the session, Anthoine Hubert (ART Grand Prix) had to stop on track, deploying the VSC for a brief moment. Once the cars back on track, the drivers decided for a qualifying simulation.
Under the chequered flag, Marcos Siebert set the fastest time ahead of Ferrucci and Fukuzumi. Alesi, Pulcini, Aitken, Russell, Hyman, Lorandi and Maini completed the top 10.
