The wait is over. The 2015 MotoGP season started today in Malaysia, in the Sepang International Circuit. The team Movistar Yamaha banged on the table and are willing to stand up to Repsol Honda this new season, but Marc Márquez would not put anything easy and the rivalry has only just begun.

Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo ahead at the official presentation of the team. Both drivers agreed that, after two consecutive championships of Marc Márquez, his streak should end and the first step you have to take in the preseason. The two official Yamaha riders led much of the session, but in the last half hour and on his final lap of the first test, Marc Márquez decided to run faster in his final lap to move into first position and shut some mouths.

The good feelings they had in the Movistar Team Yamaha in Valencia during the tests that were done at the end of the 2014 season, were confirmed in the first practice session, where they outperformed nearly all rivals. The most direct rival, the Repsol Honda, were one step back on this first day, but it is true that the world champions have brought 10 different bikes with engines of 2014 and 2015 to compare them in Malaysia.

However, the MotoGP world champion Marc Márquez could complete a lap in the last minutes of the session to snatch the top spot from Valentino Rossi, who already assumed that this honorary pleasure to lead the first session will take. Leaving aside the Fantastic Four, Andrea Dovizioso jumped ahead of Dani Pedrosa and finished in fourth place, although Ducati not bring the new bike this year until the second week of test, also played in Sepang. Just behind Pedrosa, who fell at the last minute session, Pol Espargaró set his Yamaha Tech 3 in sixth place in the year must be to his confirmation.

Between the newcomers, Jack Miller was the best rookie on this first day of official training sessions with a discreet 19th place more than a second of his teammate, Cal Crutchlow. Very near Miller is another newcomer, best of our house, Maverick Viñales, which is three tenths of the Australian. The driver from Figueres, with Aleix Espargaró, premiered his new Suzuki that promises great emotions in the fight for the top ten.

The activity will resume tomorrow on the second day of pre-season tests and will continue until the next February 7th.
