Julian Hanses has taken his maiden victory in ADAC Formel 4 after a lead from lights-to-flag the Race 2 at Lausitzring. Completing the podium was Drugovich and Armstrong.

At the start Julian Hanses (US Racing) keep the lead ahead of Marcus Armstrong (Prema Powerteam) and Fabio Scherer (US Racing). Immediately the safety car has to join the track because of a contact between Louis Gachot (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Michael Waldherr (Neuhauser Racing).

When the race was re-started Felipe Drugovich (Van Amersfoort Racing) managed to overtake for Scherer for third, while Juan Manuel Correa (Prema Powerteam) was passed by Juri Vips (Prema Powerteam) and Kami Laliberté (Van Amersfoort Racing).

Later on, Vips managed to overtake Scherer for fourth, while his team mate in US Racing, Kim-Luis Schramm overtook Cederic Piro (Team Piro Sport Interdental) for eight. Piro would not finish the race due to a spun in the last lap.

In front, Drugovich made a very intelligent move on Armstrong for a final second position. The Ferrari junior was pressured by Scherer but this battle allowed his team mate, Vips to overtake Scherer for fourth.

At the end it was the first career victory for Hanses, Drugovich and Armstrong completed the podium. Point’s positions are completed by Scherer, Vips, Laliberté, Schramm, Correa, Vesti and Flörsch.

In the drivers’ championship Juri Vips leads the way with 72 points, 21 more than Hanses who is up to second position. Nielsen is third 27 points behind while Drugovich and Scherer follow him on fourth and fifth with 28 and 29 points less, respectively.
