The new Haas second driver, Kevin Magnussen, is really happy with the way the team, car and himself are approaching the pre-season testing at Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, and how well testing is going so far.

The Danish driver, Formula Renault 3.5 champion, reported that the team is doing all as planned. The car is working well, so he really is enjoying the moment:

“We test a lot of things, nothing has broken down and we have learnt a lot about the car. It has been a good start of testing as a whole.

“Everything has been quite surprising, it’s different to all the cars I have driven in a very good way, it’s extremely good to drive, enjoyable, and so it’s been a good experience.”

Asked about whether Haas could be fighting with Williams in the final points position, he said that right now they don’t care about the others, they just focus on themselves.

“It’s early to judge, things are not looking bad, we are happy with the feeling of the car and we know what we need to do in the car.
