A race to take my hat off to Max Defourny. After a great comeback and pace, the Belgian won the race 2 of Formula Renault 2.0 NEC at Assen, Netherlands. Lando Norris and Jehan Daruvala completes the podium.

Lando Norris (Josef Kaufmann Racing) today had a good opportunity to win his fourth race in a row in the series. The Briton made a great start and build a gap rapidly from his team mate Jehan Daruvala.

The junior of Force India, had to defend from the attacks of Max Defourny (R-ace GP) who at the start overtook Dorian Boccolacci (Tech 1 Racing). After a couple of laps, the Belgian overtook the Indian driver and immediately caught Lando Norris to battle for first position.

It was another and great battle between this two. Assen is a track that don’t allow a side by side battles, and this was helpful for the JKR who defended well from Defourny attacks. But with two laps remaining the Belgian overtook the Briton in the final chicane in front of 90.000 of spectators.

Victory of Defourny in front of Norris and Daruvala who kept Boccolacci behind him. Fifth place for Sacha Fenestraz (Tech 1 Racing) after overtake Will Palmer (R-Ace GP) during the race.

Completes the top10 Robert Shwartzman (Josef Kaufmann Racing), Ferdinand Habsburg (Fortec Motorsports), Alex Gill (Mark Burdett Motorsport) and Nikita Troitskiy (Fortec Motorsports).
