British driver Louis Gachot teams up with Van Amersfoort Racing for his second season in ADAC F4.

Louis Gachot started his career in motorracing in 2015 in the French F4 championship of which he finished fourteenth overall with one podium finish. He then moved to ADAC F4 with US Racing which turned out to be a learning curve year for him as he scored his lone point in the last week-end of the season.

For 2017, Gachot will stay in Formula 4 but will switch teams to Van Amersfoort Racing alongside Felipe Drugovich. The son of F1 driver Bertrand Gachot comments:

“Van Amersfoort Racing is the team to be in the ADAC Formula 4. They were always competitive and won the driver’s championship in 2017, so I am looking forward to learn from the team. Combined with the experience of a full season in German F4 it is my goal to be a regular top finisher this season.”

Van Amersfoort Racing F4 team principal, Jeroen de Jong, comments upon the impression Gacho left after testing:

“Louis did a professional job: he was open for advice constantly and managed to use it on track, resulting in constant progression and performance. He is eager to find more speed and score good results as well. So far we have been impressed by his dedication, work ethic and are looking forward working with Louis during the 2017 season.”

As stated earlier, Gachot is the second driver to be confirmed for Van Amersfoort Racing in the 2017 ADAC F4 season which leaves two seats remaining in the Dutch squad.
