Campos Racing has annunced that Leonardo Pulcini will do his second season on the series with them. The Italian driver joins the Spanish team after one season on the series on which he drove for Arden International.


Campos Racing, a team led by former F1 driver Adrián Campos has announced the second driver that will be part of their line-up. It will be Leonardo Pulcini, who switches from Arden to the Spanish team for what will be his second season on the series after finishing 14th in 2017.

Pulcini‘s debut season on the series went from hero to zero after he surprised everyone by finishing second on his first ever race on the series in Montmeló. After that great result, he only scored points once more, when he set the fastest lap in the sprint race in Hungary. His season ended with 20 points and a 14th position on the standings.

Before arriving to GP3 Series, he raced in Italian F4 in 2014 and then joined EuroFormula Open for the next two years. His results on his second year in the Spanish series, when he won the title, allowed him to move to GP3 Series. At the end of 2017, he drove the Campos Racing car in the post-season tests that were held in Abu Dhabi.

“I’m extremely proud and happy to be back with Campos Racing.” Said Pulcini. “They are a very important team for my career, because I learnt everything in racing with them. Besides, I alredy won with Campos. It’s my racing family for sure. I know they all are looking forward to helping me. We have put together everything and we approach a decisive season. I think we have a competitive package to be in win contention. We tested in Abu Dhabi and the car was rather competitive. His working method is great and I feel confident. I’m ready to start the season in style.”

2018 GP3 Series season will start the 12th of May in the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit.
