Charles Leclerc continued his leading streak in the pre-season tests by topping both sessions at Silverstone today, ahead of the Carlin trio of Giovinazzi, Russell and Ilott.

Times for all of the top 10 were split by no more than 1.5 seconds, with 0.5 seconds separating Leclerc and Giovinazzi. With a dry and relatively warm track, this year’s rookies were just as quick as those continuing/returning to the series, backing up the speed with the mileage as race 1 edges ever closer.

Felix Rosenqvist posted the fifth fasted time of the day for reigning team champions Prema Powerteam, 0.03 seconds ahead of South African rookie Raoul Hyman. Next followed Germans Pommer and Kirchhöfer, Michele Beretta, all within 0.04 seconds of each other. Ferrari junior Lance Stroll was the final driver under 1:52:000.
