The ART GP driver, Marvin Kirchhöfer won the first GP3 race of the weekend in Silverstone and gets advantage over the championship leader Ghiotto. Bernstorff and Parry completed the podium.


Marvin Kirchhöfer maintained his pole position at the start, followed by Bernstorff. Palou lost 2 positions and fell to 5th. Esteban Ocon overtook Fong, while Mardenvorough and Gilbert went off track on turn 5.

Alex Palou, who had a chance to score his first GP3 points, had to retire after a loss of power in his car.

Kirchhöfer had a 1 second advantage over Bernstorff, who also was 1 second ahead of Parry. The fight was very close with 5 laps to go.

Ghiotto was lapping very fast, which allowed him to get close to Eriksson and overtake him for 4th position.

Bernstorff was wheel-to-wheel with Kirchhöfer in the last lap, but he was unable to steal the win from the ART GP driver.

Victory for Kirchhöfer followed by Bernstorff and Parry. Boschung will be on pole tomorrow after finishing 8th.
