Callum Ilott was the quickest in both practice sessions of FIA Formula 3 European championship at Pau, France. The Prema driver led both wet practices before afternoon’s qualifying session.

A similar welcome as 2016, the 2017 Pau Grand Prix started under wet conditions for the first practice session at the historic French street circuit.

The race-winner, Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) set the fastest time in practice one with a lap time of 1:18.944, only 0.080 seconds faster than team mate Maximilian Günther. Third was the championship leader Joel Eriksson (Motopark).

It was a clean session without accidents or outings, not like in the second practice where some drivers went off but without any accident.

Once again, the BRDC Super Star, Callum Ilott was the fastest ahead Jake Dennis (Carlin) and Lando Norris (Carlin). Completing a one-two-three-four of British was Jake Hughes (Hitech GP) who is not new in this place –he raced in 2015 with Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS.
