Romain Grosjean opened up about ESports racing with simulator now installed plus Haas F1 Team’s Guenther Steiner, Kevin Magnussen and social media impact.

Having not been able to connect earlier in the week, F1 managed to do it this time with Grosjean – on his 34th birthday – on Instagram Live. The Frenchman took time out amid a still packed schedule of other media commitments by virtue of internet.

The chat opened up discussing about the training regime of Grosjean and the fact that he is at home for such a long period in a long-long time. They quickly moved to discuss ESports racing with the Frenchman all-set with his simulator installed at his home.

Grosjean admits that he is still a rookie but he noted that he likes playing GT-type races rather than single-seaters. He has tried a bit of GT, NASCAR and Supercars already but is still learning his way through and likes to keep it low-key at the moment.

They went back in time when he tried the Haas NASCAR at Circuit of the Americas. Moving on, they talked about the social media shit that Grosjean gets. The Frenchman is not pulled down by it as he things, he is getting a reaction out of F1 fans, at least.

He also opened up about Haas F1 boss Steiner. The Netflix Drive to Survive has shown quite a lot as to how the Italian picks on Grosjean but it is taken in banter terms. Staying on the team topic, the Frenchman feels proud of their achivements.

He recalled the 2016 F1 season when they made their debut, which ended up being the best for a new outfit in a long-long time. Grosjean also touched on his partnership with Magnussen and his changed attitude towards him once they became teammates.

He termed the Dane as a quick drivers, while he added about learning from Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen as well. Additionally, Grosjean gave his view regarding budget cap as he felt, it won’t get them to the top but allow them to be in the podium fight.
