Thanks to a damp track, Antonio Fuoco won a dramatic race ahead of Alex Palou and Charles Leclerc while championship leader, Alexander Albon could not score any point.

Due to time penalties being added to Jake Dennis’ and Artur Janosz’s, they both finished outside of the reverse grid zone. Therefore, Arjun Maini started on reverse pole position ahead of Sandy Stuvik and Ralph Boschung. The track was still slightly damp and the start but all drivers started on slick tyres.

Good start from Maini but Stuvik took the lead. Great start from Leclerc who was already up to second after half a lap. Maini kept dropping back the order and while battling with Parry, they collided, damaged Parry’s front wing and punctured Maini’s tyre.

At the second lap, Giuliano Alesi stopped on track after a contact with Jake Hughes. and the virtual safety car was deployed to retrieve his car. Stuvik was leading from Palou and Leclerc. At the restart, Leclerc was caught off guard by Parry who overtook him and Palou overtook Stuvik for the lead. The damp parts of the track made every chance of overtaking quite difficult. Parry, second at the moment, was being shown the black and orange flag for his damaged front wing.

Janosz when off the road at Becketts while Leclerc overtook Stuvik for P3. Parry’s race went bad to worse as he got a five second penalty for pushing De Vries out of the track. Fuoco could overtake Stuvik for P4 while Parry went to the pits. Within one lap, the top 4 had regrouped with seven laps to go. Akash Nandy lost the front into Magots and the virtual safety car was deployed de retrieve his car.

Dennis spun at the restart and despite going wide, Palou kept the lead. Fuoco, thanks to a bold move, took P2 from Leclerc. Like yesterday, De Vries was handed a five-second penalty for causing a collision. Stuvik had a technical problem and had to retire. Palou, running-wide, was being overtaken by Fuoco for the lead. In the last lap, Palou lost two places to the two ART’s of De Vries and Leclerc while Boschung was handed a ten second penalty but due to a confusion with the chequered flag being shown one lap early, those overtakings did not count.

Antonio Fuoco took his first victory in GP3 ahead of De Vries -who dropped down to P8 due to his penalty- ahead of Alex Palou and Charles Leclerc.

Charles Leclerc takes back championship lead from Alexander Albon, Antonio Fuoco remains third in the standings.
