Best time in the free practice of the GP2 Series in Nürburg, Germany was made by Robin Frijns.
The dutch driver of Hilmer Motorsport dominated all the session, second was the Russian Time driver Sam Bird, third the young driver, Mitch Evans (Arden Internacional), fourth was Fabio Leimer (Racing Engineering), and finally fifth was the championship leader, Stefano Coletti (RAPAX).
