Francesco Pizzi has completed a dominant inaugural weekend for the Formula 4 UAE at the Dubai Autodrome. The Italian, who won Race 3 today, has won all the races of the weekend. The driver from Xcel Motorsport was followed by his teammates Nicola Marinangeli and Lorenzo Fluxá on the podium.

Only one of the two scheduled races were able to go underway due to the wet weather conditions, which meant the cancellation of Race 4.

The race started with Hamda Al Quabaisi (Abu Dhabi Racing) on pole position. The local driver made a good start, but she approached turn 1 challenged by Lorenzo Fluxá (Xcel Motorsport) with whom she had a little contact.

Al Quabaisi kept the lead, but she spun at turn 2, which allowed Francesco Pizzi (Xcel Motorsport) to take the lead in front of Fluxá and Nico Göhler (Mücke Motorsport), while Zdenek Chovanec (Xcel Motorsport) crashed with Al Quabaisi, which caused a Safety Car.

At the restart, Nicola Mariangeli (Xcel Motorsport) who was driving in fifth place, overtook Nico Göhler and Lorenzo Fluxá for second place in the same lap.

Only 9 cars remained on track, and Dexter Patterson (Xcel Motorsport), one of the upcoming karting stars, as he won the Junior Karting World championship in 2017, overtook Constantin Reisch for a final sixth place. Reisch was also passed by Mehrbod Shameli and Erick Zuniga.

In the lead, the Italian Francesco Pizzi pulled away by setting fastest laps, which allowed him to take the victory by a comfortable margin. Francesco Pizzi leaves Dubai as the championship leader after taking all the race victories this weekend.

Xcel Motorsport completed another one-two-three with Marinangeli closely followed by Lorenzo Fluxá, who made his debut in single-seaters this weekend.

The top 5 was completed by Nico Göhler and Reema Juffali.

The next round of F4 UAE will be take place next week at the Yas Marina Circuit on the 17th and 18th of January.
