Several big news for this weekend, Pippa Mann will compete with Coyne Racing and Oriol Servia will compete with number 4 for Panther Racing car to U.S. National Guard, driver from Pals deserve after being without a team in last race to be in this place. He will replace Briscoe (incompatibility of competitions) and Hildebrand. Meanwhile Kanaan have his car painted in other colors for his new sponsor, this time will last a few more runs.
As for the first free practice, the differences were minimal as circuits of these characteristics, Marco Andretti was the first followed by Kanaan and Will Power. Overall there has been much activity on track many laps giving by drivers to improve the setup all they can. It was stopped some moments because dirt on the track. This race will have the incentive to be raced at night. There will be a night training with conditions after qualifying. Qualyfing will be competed as it was competed in Indianapolis one by one in a fast lap. Oriol Servia will be the last in this qualyfing
De Silvestro whatever she does in qualifying will be penalized with 10 positions because of her engine change in Detroit.
