The Ford team announced today at a conference in Le Mans that they will return to endurance racing in 2016 with his new Ford GT GTE.

50 years after the first Ford GT victory in Le Mans, in 1966, Ford has announced they will run the legendary endurance race.

They will do so with the new Ford GT GTE, the racing version of the new sport car of American brand which has a twin-turbo V6 Ford Eco Boost engine that yields more than 600 hp.

The idea of the brand of Detroit is competing in the TUSCC and WEC next year with two teams of two cars, led by Chip Ganassi in the GTE Pro category.
