The FIA has shared details of track limits at Zandvoort for F1 Dutch GP along with DRS zones, PU elements, stewards names and more.

The track limits situation at Zandvoort for the F1 Dutch GP is mostly around the escape road rather than crossing the white line at corners as per the FIA Race Directors’ Note. The Turn 1, 8 and 11 will be monitored, where drivers re-joining will have to be careful.

Escape Road at Turn 1 –

a) If a driver overshoots the corner at Turn 1 there is a small road along the front of the tyre barrier which leads back on to the track at the exit of Turn 1, please ensure that your drivers use this when necessary.

Escape Road at Turn 8 –

a) If a driver overshoots the corner at Turn 8 there is a small road along the front of the tyre barrier which leads back on to the track at Turn 9, please ensure that your drivers use this when necessary.

Escape Road at Turn 11 –

a) If a driver overshoots the corner at Turn 11 there is a small road along the front of the tyre barrier which leads back on to the track at Turn 12, please ensure that your drivers use this when necessary.

Considering Zandvoort is returning to the F1 calendar for the first time since 1985, the FIA Race Directors’ Note doesn’t mention any changes to the circuit from the last event, even though it has had host of renovations done from the last time it was held.

The first DRS zone’s detection zone, meanwhile, will be at entry to Turn 10, with the activation zone 50m after Turn 10. The second one’s detection zone will be 15m before Turn 13, while the activation zone will be 30m after Turn 14.

In terms of the PU elements, the FIA note has an update until what was used at Belgian GP, with any upcoming changes for the Dutch GP, to be reflected only from Friday onward. After host of drivers took new parts at Spa-Francorchamps, there’s an updated list.

On ICE side, everyone bar the Alfa Romeo and Haas drivers are already on their third element, with the two F1 outfits still on their second. It is same for TC and MGU-H, but the two teams are joined by AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda with two used.
