F1 asked fans to vote for the best grand prix of the 2022 season and they chose the British GP as the one ahead of Brazil GP.
Over 65,000 fans voted the 2022 British GP as the best grand prix of the last F1 season, where Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz registered his first win from Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton at the Silverstone circuit in an epic race.
Safety car did play its role as Sainz held on to win in a different strategy, while Perez, Hamilton and Leclerc hustled for second. It also brought Alpine’s Fernando Alonso in the game but the pace difference was evident in the latter stages.
The British GP won 34% votes from Brazil GP’s 21% which was second best on the list. The sprint weekend saw Haas’ Kevin Magnussen on pole for the Saturday’s race, while Mercedes’ George Russell eventually went on to register his first win on Sunday.
He led a Mercedes 1-2 with Hamilton second, while Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was third. These two grands prix had double figures in terms of votes as the rest of the three races were in single digits, with third place going to Bahrain GP at 8%.
Ferrari’s Leclerc took the win in Bahrain after a epic duel with Verstappen who eventually retired. Ferrari’s Sainz was second from Mercedes’ Hamilton. In fourth was the Belgian GP where Red Bull’s Verstappen dominated from Mercedes’ Russell and Ferrari’s Leclerc.
The grand prix in Belgium earned 5% vote, as Hungarian GP rounded out the list with 4% votes in fifth. The grand prix was won by Red Bull’s Verstappen ahead of Mercedes pair of Hamilton and Russell in the Top 3.
