Stanaway wins second race in Silverstone

Driver of Status Richie Stanaway triumphed in Sunday’s race at Silverstone GP3 Series. This is the first victory after returning in motorsport – in 2012 in the race WSR he got spinal injury and was forced to interrupt performances.

The race was held in dry, but enough to cool weather conditions. Stanaway starting second and take the lead from the start. Pole-sitter Dino Zamparelli dropped back, conceding not only Stanaway, but a few opponents. The second place went Emil Bernstorff, the third – Nick Yelloly. 

Already on the first lap encountered Patrick Kujala and Alex Fontana, and race for both was over. Victor Carbone also gone. On the second lap back to the pits and stopped the fight Ryan Cullen and Sebastian Balthazar. At the same time Yelloly attacked Bernstorff, and was able to take second place.

Series leaders, who finished yesterday in the first and second place Jimmy Eriksson and Alex Lynn, started badly, losing a number of positions. Lynn tried to attack the Sweden, but failed. Ericksson was soon encountered with Patrick Niederhauser, when they both went on the attack on Paul Varhaug. As a result, all three have gone.

Won back at once three positions, Lynn soon overtake Mardenboro and then Dino Zamparelli, thereby still scored points in the race. On the last lap Mardenboro lost several positions and dropped out of the first eight
