The session began with ideal conditions: 25°C air temperature, 38°C track temperature and with a humidity of 62%. The drivers had 30 minutes to set his time and put their time on top of the timetable.
8 minutes after the session began, Robert Visoiu sets the first significant time of the session: 1:34.270, but the first only lasted a few minutes because Dino Zamparelli sets a great time: 1:33.798, and he stayed at the first place almost the whole session.
