Carlin driver and a member of the young program of Red Bull Junior Alex Lynn won a landslide victory in the first race weekend GP3 series in Austira. Briton led throughout the race, and thanks to the best lap scored the highest possible score.
Pole-sitter Lynn started well, keeping the lead. The second place went Emil Bernstorff, and owners of the second and third places at the start Alex Fontana and Dean Stounman collided. After a couple of seconds Robert Vishoyu crash to Dean Stounman’s stopped car. All three drivers were out, and on the track the safety car.
After restart Lynn retained the position, Bernstorff was second, and behind them an active struggle with rivals were pilots Status GP and Nick Ritchie Stenevey Yelloli. As a result, the third place was able to break Jimmy Erickson, Stenevey was the fourth and followed him tight group of pilots, which included almost all the rest of the peloton. Nikolay Martsenko at this moment was the last actively attacking Carmen Horda.
6-lap in a collision between a stepped Alfonso Celis and Adderly Fong. After another three laps was forced to stop the fight Riccardo Agostini, who fought with Mardenboro for 11th position. Martsenko ahead of Jordà, then easily pulled away from her. In the future, despite the active struggle on the road, none of the pilots to improve their position failed.
