Xcel Motorsport has brought to light sabotage during the recent karting round in IAME UAE, where the karts were potentially hampered by rivals.
It is unclear how and what happened exactly, but Dubai-based outfit Xcel Motorsport has alleged that someone in their rival has sabotaged their karts when they were preparing for Round 5 in IAME UAE championship at RAK Track in Ras Al-Khaimah in United Arab Emirates.
The incident took place before the weekend started where sugar was found in fuel tank of all the three karts the team entered in the senior category. Xcel Motorsport is in the know of the competitor but has chosen to not declare the identity to protect the dignity.
Despite the malicious attempt, Xcel Motorsport’s karters went on to finish first, third and fourth in the X30 Senior category to end the weekend on a better note than how it started. The team hopes that a stringent step is taken against the rival, who attempted to jeopradise their weekend, but there is not statement yet from the organisers.
