The formation from Grove joins Haas and Mclaren revealing their launching dates of their cars. The British team announced Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas will reveal their new weapon in the pit lane of the Circuit de Catalunya.
Whilst McLaren and Haas will reveal their cars on February 21st, Williams will launch its car at Barcelona on the next day, several minutes before the pit-lane opens for the first tests of the season.
Williams does not want any glamourous presentation like McLaren or Ferrari with a live ceremony like they did in 2014 after their deal with Martini. This year, the British team preferred sobriety in the pit-lane of Barcelona just before the start of the first day of testing.
Rob Smedley, chief engineer of Williams, confirmed the information on Sky Sport F1 where he claimed “there will be no glamorous unveiling”. Both Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas will reveal the new FW38, the one they hope they will come back to the top with.
