Williams –

Atlassian Williams Racing is pleased to announce that Williams Racing Academy Driver Alessandro Giusti will challenge for another season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport in 2026. He will continue to be supported by the Williams Racing Driver Academy as he develops on his path to Formula 1.

Last weekend, Alessandro concluded his debut season in Formula 3, achieving 13 points finishes and two podiums including a third place in Barcelona and second place in Austria. This followed a strong rookie season in FRECA in 2023, where he achieved three wins, four podiums, and two poles, and a championship-winning French Formula 4 season in 2022.

Alessandro will apply this experience to target the Formula 3 title in 2026, having adapted to the new era of Formula 3 car introduced this year. He also starts the season already embedded into his team and has been working with his engineers and trainer to build consistency across all sessions in the race weekend.

The Williams Racing Driver Academy has a proud tradition of supporting young talent, which has most recently seen Academy alumnus Franco Colapinto graduate to an F1 race seat. In Formula 2, Luke Browning heads into the closing rounds of the season second in the championship after securing his first feature race win on Sunday in Monza.

One of the youngest drivers in the Academy,13-year-old Dean Hoogendoorn, was also crowned FIA Karting European Junior Champion earlier this year. The Driver Academy supports drivers on every rung of the motorsport ladder, working with them on and off the track to develop the skills necessary to race at the top level.

Alessandro Giusti: “I’m excited to return to Formula 3 with MP Motorsport next year and use everything I’ve learned to challenge for the title in 2026. My confidence has grown a lot this season and I’m feeling at home in the team. Thank you to the Williams Racing Driver Academy for their continued support and trust in me. I look forward to working together more next year and can’t wait to get back behind the wheel!”

Sven Smeets, Sporting Director: “We’re looking forward to seeing Alessandro fight for the title in FIA Formula 3 and hope to see his experience and hard work pay off in 2026. He has made good progress this year, developing well on and off the track. Next season will give him the opportunity to strengthen his skill even further as he progresses through the motorsport ladder.”
