Will Palmer won the second Eurocup race in Monza ahead of Sacha Fenestraz and Max Defourny.
Gabriel Aubry started on pole position ahead of Will Palmer and Max Defourny. Will Palmer took a better start than the Frenchman and took the lead at the first corner. After a difficult getaway, Sacha Fenestraz started his come-back on Thomas Maxwell. On the second lap, Alex Peroni and Henrique Chaves made contact which led to the entry of the safety car on track. At the same time, Ghislain Cordeel also had to climb out of the car.
With twelve minutes remaining, the race went green again. Defourny lost two positions to Fenestraz and Shwartzman but he fought back as soon as possible. Fenestraz and Defourny, who had already set the same time in qualifying session, kept battling on track. Further back in the field, Zane Goddard and Luis Leeds collided but eventually could continue.
In the lead, the battle for second place went until Defourny in P5. But with two minutes to go, Shwartzman and Aubry collided and both drivers had to stop their cars, offering the podium to Fenestraz and Defourny. In the last lap, Defourny tried to pass Fenestraz for P2 but the Frenchman eventually kept the advantage for less than two tenths on the line.
Will Palmer won the second race of the week-end ahead of Sacha Fenestraz and Max Defourny. Verhagen, Maxwell, Ye, Verschoor, Fewtrell, Vartanyan and Guzman completed the top 10.
