Monster Energy released onboard videos of the F1 and MotoGP swap between Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi at Circuit Valencia.

The much talked about F1 and MotoGP took place earlier this month at Valencia in Spain, where Hamilton rode the 2019 Yamaha YZR-M1 and Rossi drove the 2017 Mercedes W08, as the two champions spent a day learning about each other’s trade.

For Rossi, though, it wasn’t the first time in a F1 car as he had driven a 2004 Ferrari before but it was his first in a much sophisticated hybrid machine, while for Hamilton, it was his first time in a MotoGP bike, after having ridden only road bikes and or superbikes.

The event was organised by Monster Energy, which sponsors Hamilton and also Yamaha MotoGP team, as the other common sponsor, Petronas, also tried for a similar event. The run was kept as a secret, even after the completion of the runs on December 9.

It was only after a couple of days when photos and videos were released online with quotes from Hamilton and Rossi regarding their experience on a MotoGP bike and or a F1 car. With weeks gone, Monster Energy finally released more footage from the run.

The energy drinks company shared the onboard from Hamilton, while he rode the Yamaha M1 and at the same time, they also showcased the onboard from Rossi, while he drove the Mercedes W08 – both of which depicts the extent at which the racers went.

While it is slightly easier for Rossi in a F1 car as he doesn’t have to worry about leaning as much as Hamilton has to, with the fear of falling. The riders have to be very particular with how they ride and still be fast enough without crashing or falling.
