Max Verstappen and Arvid Lindblad go head-to-head in ‘F1 Drivers Race 100 Years of Cars’, organised by Ford Racing, as Daniel Ricciardo pops up.

What happens when you take a Formula 1 World Champion, a fearless rookie, and hand them the keys to more than a century of Ford racing history? You get a challenge only Red Bull would dare to create. The “F1 Drivers Race 100 Years of Cars” head-to-head challenge is now available to watch Red Bull’s YouTube channel.

In a celebration of automotive evolution and unfiltered competition, Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen went head-to-head with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls phenom Arvid Lindblad in a series of acceleration and handling battles that pushed original antiques, classic V8s, rally icons, historic muscle, and cutting-edge machines to their limits. In this Red Bull challenge, Max Verstappen and Arvid Lindblad went head-to-head across a lineup of Ford vehicles spanning over 100 years.

No two cars were the same. No challenge rewarded familiarity. Every choice mattered. This race through time challenge pits cars from different decades to see who can rise to the moment and handle these machines. Each one of these cars is from a different decade, spanning over 100 years, setting the stage for a series of challenges that only get wilder as they unfold on the track.

Challenge One: Acceleration

Straight line. Full throttle. Fastest time wins.

Verstappen opened strong, putting modern performance to work in the Ford Fiesta WRC and later the all-electric F-150 Lightning SuperTruck. “It’s so fast,” Verstappen said after stepping out. “Proper acceleration.” Lindblad took a different approach — opting for character over convenience. He wrestled classic muscle in the 1970 Boss 302, learning quickly that horsepower doesn’t always come with forgiveness.

Wildcard Moment: The Model T

With momentum slipping away, Lindblad was handed a wildcard — the 1924 Ford Model T. Wood wheels. Three pedals. No margin for error.

The task: complete the handling circuit in under three minutes.

Challenge Two: Handling

Corners decide everything.

Verstappen chose the latest tech, pushing the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC through the handling circuit with clinical precision. Lindblad answered with one of the most iconic race cars ever built — the 1966 Ford GT40, a machine that once conquered Le Mans.

Sixty years separated the cars. How many seconds separated the laps?

Final Showdown: Head-to-Head

Both drivers on track. Fastest lap wins.

Verstappen selected a snarling V8 Supercar. Lindblad lined up in the 2025 Mustang GT3. Two flying laps. No points. No strategy. Just speed.

This wasn’t just a race. It was a celebration of Ford performance across generations, raw competition, and Red Bull’s relentless belief that racing should be fun, fearless, and pushed to the limit.

One champion. One rookie. One hundred years of Ford performance — driven flat-out.
